We had a blast! The people, the animals the food, the movies, the coloring … everything. Only the food and “Green wearing” was traditional, the rest was just a relaxing play date. The movie played was Despicable me, one of my favorites!
The kids played Fetch, tag and tug-o-war with the dogs, held chickens, watched bunnies and colored.
My friend and I talked. It was very social and enjoyable and I have pictures on my refrigerator again.
😉
On a sad/happy note – one of my bunnies ran away last night. Somehow he got out of the cage. I hope he wasn’t eaten. sigh.
It’s a sad/happy note because Hubby and I spent most of the morning discussing how we needed a new cage and how we needed to separate the rabbits. Options ranged from $200 to $50 + a lot of hard work. So it was fortuitous that the missing rabbit is one of the bucks, and that none of the does escaped. It was also a sadness because he was the Hubby’s favorite (but that’s always the way. You always lose your favorites).
Everything happens for a reason – so I just have to be grateful and count my blessings.
Speaking of Blessings, I haven’t done a gratitude in a while.
I am grateful for the bonding times with my boys. I am grateful that they still like to spend time with me. I am grateful that they are so willing to help me with anything that needs to be done. Don’t get me wrong.. they complain at times, but they still help. It has been a busy but wonderful week and I sooooooooooo enjoyed every minute of it (except for My oldest’s boy’s toothache – poor thing.)
It WAS a wonderful day! One of those days I will always remember and cherish! 🙂 🙂
Thanks again Dani!
[And I agree, you should be very grateful for those boys – they are awesome! I was so impressed with them!]
